Where cleared hiring is hardest.
The Cleared Hiring Index tracks how long open cleared postings stay up and how many employers are competing for each discipline, across the GovCon careers pages ClearMatch reads every night.
Today’s index is still being built. The Cleared Jobs Index shows where cleared work is in the meantime.
How the index is built
Every night ClearMatch reads the career pages of the GovCon employers it tracks and keeps the open postings that state a security clearance or Public Trust requirement. A posting’s age is counted from the day we first saw it, not the date the employer prints, which a repost resets. That only works for employers we were already reading when the posting went up, so ages come from employers we have tracked for at least 90 days. Employer and posting counts include everyone.
A posting that has been open a long time is usually a hard fill, but not always: some employers keep evergreen requisitions up to collect applicants. Ages describe postings that are still open: how long today’s open roles have waited so far. How long a filled role took is a different number, and this page doesn’t publish it. Coverage is the employers ClearMatch tracks, a large share of the cleared market but not all of it. Pay is the median posted floor and ceiling across postings that state an annual range.
